1925 Before purchasing Brother Lawrence's book, I tried reading the examples of many of the different translations of this book that are on Amazon, and this one, written in a modern English, seemed the easiest to understand. Now that I've purchased it, I am so glad that I did. There is a free pdf version of "Practicing the Presence of God" on the internet that you can download, but it is in the English of a couple of centuries ago and is harder to read and understand. If you're really going to try to practice remembering God's presence, you don't want to have to struggle to read these beautiful suggestions from Brother Lawrence. I highly recommend this book!
